- Walk around the forklift noting visible damage, tire wear, or leaks.
- Record operating hours and any incident logs from the past week.
- Review daily checklist submissions for trends and unresolved issues.
- Check compliance of operator certifications and inspection forms.
Battery System Load Test & Analysis
- Conduct a load test on the battery and record performance capacity.
- Inspect terminal conditions and clean corrosion as needed.
- Analyze charge/discharge cycle efficiency and usage patterns.
- Test voltage regulation under simulated warehouse loads.
Motor & Electrical Component Inspection
- Run motor through lift and tilt cycles to detect abnormal noise or lag.
- Check component temperature and vibration levels for stability.
- Inspect control wiring, switches, and motor relays for wear or damage.
- Document power draw and efficiency benchmark results.
Mechanical & Hydraulic Function Review
- Check forks, carriage, and mast operation under working load.
- Lubricate mast chains and inspect for alignment accuracy.
- Review hydraulic fluid levels and test system pressure.
- Inspect brake, steering, and safety restraints for wear or looseness.
Compliance & Safety System Test
- Confirm horn, lights, backup alarm, and all interlocks are functional.
- Test seat belt, overhead guard, and emergency stop systems.
- Ensure safety decals and load capacity plates are legible and secure.
- Complete OSHA 1910.178(p) and (q) checklist for electric trucks.
Fleet Optimization & Reporting
- Review trends across EP18-10A units to find anomalies or wear patterns.
- Update Oxmaint platform with digital checklist data.
- Flag units requiring further service or battery cycling adjustments.
- Generate a weekly report and notify supervisor of any urgent findings.
