Opening Responsibilities
- Inspect FOH cleanliness: floors, counters, doors, and entrance
- Verify tables and seating arrangements are clean and set
- Ensure POS systems, menus, and reservation logs are ready
- Stock and organize service stations and condiments
- Hold opening team briefing to review goals and assignments
Service Operations
- Greet guests warmly and escort them promptly to seating
- Confirm guest needs and communicate with kitchen team
- Maintain cleanliness and prompt table resets
- Monitor wait times, guest flow, and service quality
- Log service incidents or unusual guest feedback for review
FOH Team Supervision
- Assign breaks and monitor team rotation schedules
- Ensure all team members follow grooming and uniform codes
- Check communication between host, servers, and bussers
- Assist with escalations and guest service concerns
- Encourage team collaboration and upselling initiatives
Closing Procedures
- Clean and sanitize all guest areas thoroughly
- Organize and lock POS terminals and secure cash
- Update shift logs and inventory reports
- Turn off music, lights, and secure FOH entrance points
- Review daily performance and leave handover for next shift
